I have always had it in my mind to blog about my senior year and job hunting. What gave me the final push was an assignment for my social media class (follow our class blog here). But what makes my job hunt unique is that I am not looking near my college or home, I want to relocate to a new city.
So I have this idea for a blog, the first thing I do is check out what is already out there to find my niche. Surprise, surprise there is NOTHING out there. I have Googled “relocation after college,” “do I need to relocate after graduation” and everything in between, but there are no blogs or websites devoted specifically to relocating. There are discussion boards with commentors’ personal bias and job hunt websites that have a post or two on the subject, but nothing on the subject itself. Voila, my niche.
So here I am blogging about trying to find a job in a different region of the U.S. and I am taking you along for the ride.
